The Stone Canyon Apartments development is a 132-apartment Affordable Housing Community located north of the intersection of Viking Road and Ventura Road in Amarillo, Texas. Located on 7 acres, the site includes six residential buildings and a club/leasing office, and features easy access to many area businesses and services.

Zimmerman Properties, LLC, with the help of the Texas Department of Housing & Community Affairs (TDHCA), arranged for Stone Canyon Apartments to provide affordable housing to people in various lower
income groups as follows: 7 units to residents whose income is at or below 30% of average median income (AMI); 59 units to residents whose income is at 50% of AMI or below; and the remaining 65 units to residents whose income is at 60% of AMI or below.

Stone Canyon residents enjoy such amenities as a furnished clubhouse for community or personal gatherings, a swimming pool, a furnished children’s play area, and BBQ pits. The grounds at Stone Canyon
have been professionally landscaped, and the complex is regularly maintained to ensure a pleasing appearance.

Apartments feature a carpeted living area and ceramic tile in the kitchen and bath, window coverings, ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms, covered patio, storage space, kitchen equipped with a self-cleaning oven, refrigerator with frost-free freezer, garbage disposal, and a full-size washer/dryer.

Project construction was funded using State of Texas Tax Credits in compliance with Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 and conventional financing.
